why obLITTERate?
my purpose
Litter is a problem. Volunteer groups and government agencies can be seen responding to this infinite problem. Even individuals do what they can, when they can, but most passers-by lack the time or resources to address the litter they see and reluctantly move on.
Equipped and eager to tackle the litter, obLITTERate, represents the power of one, one space at a time.
As a litter vigilante, I choose to be in service to public spaces and nature areas. ObLITTERate is my personal project where I get to combine things I care about with things I love to do. For me, the work is wonderfully physical, mental, and emotional. I document my efforts and share my stories with insights, information, and inspiration. I get to meet people in passing, build connections, and encourage others to take action.
As a fellow human being, I have a direct impact, a positive impact, on the environment and the more-than-human world, one space at a time. Thank you for your donation!
“A thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community. It is wrong when it tends otherwise.”
— Aldo Leopold
