… litter is not pretty

Not all art is meant to be beautiful. As an environmental communicator, I believe that art is a powerful form of communication - persuasive, informative, inquisitive, suggestive...

One of my projects is obLITTERate 365. Along with regularly collecting bagfuls of litter, I challenge myself to pick up one piece of litter a day and document it with a picture. I consider this time-lapse of photos a form of art inviting us to witness what we’d often rather ignore, litter.

This update showcases YTD, 152 days (a time-lapse from April 1st through August 31st) of littered objects in various places and spaces.

Note: Black images are days missed.
